May 21, 2015 · Thanks , i am not sure what is going on. I am dealing with a headlamp with condensation now and the passenger side hid bulb is out and ballast is wet. Any advice on this? Can I go aftermarket some one?Nissan wants 1500 for a headlamp assembly. They should be ashamed of themselves. I don't believe the car will pass inspection. May 27, 2018 · I'm able to play music fine but I can't change songs via the steering wheel controls. I can do it via the infotainment screen and my phone screen but not on the steering wheel. Obviously I'd prefer the steering wheel controls to be working as this is more safe. This was not a problem on any other phone I've used. I have a Honda Civic btw.

  • The radio mode still works and the volume paddles still work. I independently confirmed my wife' observations, and after trying every possible permutation I could not get the vehicle to leave "audio off" mode. Turning off and on the car does nothing, but turning car off and letting it sit for some time fixes the issue.

  • Since this appears to be a potentiometer style controller, it is unlikely to work with any modern style head unit as a volume control. Unless your unit has specifications to work with this knob in such a fashion, it will not work. Long story short, no. It does work great in attenuating the output of an Alpine MRV-M500 though.

  • There is a control box that interfaces with the stereo, and the mic and "call/hang-up" dongle attach to that. It's possible that the mic may have become disconnected, though, or it's just not working. I would go back to the store you had the install done at and have them look at it. • Jun 26, 2018 · On Thursday, 21 June 2018, the radio in my 2014 Ford Fiesta SE would not turn off. (For identification purposes, my car has a Ford SYNC with MyFord Touch radio.) I also couldn’t turn down the volume using the volume knob on the dash or the volume buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.
Then, about a month ago, the volume knob stopped working properly. Turning the know at a reasonable speed makes the sound go up and down at the same time, resulting in the volume going to zero or barely increasing. Now, my Bluetooth isn't working at all. I can't connect my phone. There is a control box that interfaces with the stereo, and the mic and "call/hang-up" dongle attach to that. *Check car fuses and fuses behind the stereo. All modern systems require two. (One to retain memory of stations and settings, and one to turn the unit off when vehicle is not in use.) *Is the stereo coded? Re-enter the correct code. *Check speaker wiring for short circuits and shorts to earth on speaker terminals. Jan 16, 2019 · Radio Not Working. So the radio in the Honda isn't working and simply says, "Code." This can be a little frustrating. If you took your car to a shop and it worked when it went in, but now it does not. Had something changed at the automotive store and the radio has no blissfully distracting noise coming from it?
Jul 14, 2019 · The radio controls in the escape will randomly stop working while I'm driving, and won't start working again until I turn off the escape, leave for an extended time, and come back to it. I've tried restarting several times (turning car on/off) without success. Sometimes it'll go days without doing it, other times it happens a couple times a day. Just quit. No buttons would work at all, the only thing that would work was the volume control, along with the on/off push, and the tuning knob. I couldn't get anything else to work. We just picked the car up Friday -- six days ago. I kinda figured I would miss out on the radio problems since it's a 2019, but now I'm not so sure.

No combination of unplugging the phone, changing audio sources or turning on of the car brought the front speakers back. I was able to fix it by rebooting the radio by holding the radio power button down for about 15-20 seconds.
To adjust the trim tune the radio to a weak station at the top of the AM band (usually around 1400 kc) then turn the trim thumbscrew in and out until the station is the loudest. Next, gently tighten the thumbscrew and you are done. On earlier radios, the trim screw adjusts with a small flat, screwdriver.
  • Rick warren messagesIf the amplifier is a low-end (car stereo), I'd suggest adding resistors (maybe 600 ohm serial, 100 ohm paraller) into the wire to get closer to typical line out impedance levels, aiming for a signal that the car stereo amplifier is designed for. Sound quality gets better, but notify very low max volume. Powerful amp required.
  • Ibew local 98 apprentice trainingJan 24, 2011 · Fix #1 is, while radio is turned OFF, rotate the volume control 30-40 turns clockwise, and same counterclockwise. Try the radio, if fixed, great, if not, try it again a few times. This will *often* get the corrosion off, and your volume control will work fine - for a while.

I believe the OEM radios have a digital volume control. No potentiometer and it is an endless control knob pulsing a signal to the inner workings on sound up/down. Short of a radio reset it may in fact have a unusual fault. Disconnecting the power to it for a while 10-20min may get it to reset when reconnected.U can pop the knob off just pulls off and try electronic/contact cleaner. It probably won't help much at all. Mine acts the same as yours. It's a fairly common issue with our Taco radios. To restore the stereo effect, repeat the same procedure. 7 Installing battery Warning: To prevent accidents and damage • Do not install any battery other than CR2025 or its equivalent. • Store out of reach of children. • Do not recharge, short, or dismantle. • Do not dispose of in fire. • Do not carry around with other metallic materials.
